The inhabitant of the Netherlands has died from "the cow furiousness"

In the Netherlands the third is registered in the country a case of death of the person from illness Krejttsfelda-Jakoba of a human version of the cow furiousness. Officials of National institute of public public health services and environment have informed on it (RIVM), transfers Dutch News.

Laboratory researches have confirmed, that the patient who has died in the beginning January in hospital of Rotterdam, suffered one of forms of illness Krejttsfelda-Jakoba. Representatives RIVM have not informed on how where and when the patient could catch this disease, however have underlined, that the incubatory period could last some decades. Search of contact persons now proceeds to exclude “small, but nevertheless possible” the risk of infection, is spoken in the statement.

The previous cases of death of people from illness Krejttsfelda-Jakoba in the Netherlands have been registered in 2005 and 2006. Since 2001 all cattle hammered in the country, necessarily test for “the cow furiousness”, have informed in RIVM.

Illness Krejtsfelda-Jakoba the incurable progressing disease caused by special fibers – прионами which, getting to a brain, break its functions. Disease leads to development of weak-mindedness and death of the patient. By present time in the world it is registered about 200 cases of death from this illness, including 167 in the Great Britain.
