Yes, we in Daugavpils have, at least two, schools, before which doors parents expected, in literal sense, at night to have time to write down in them the children Сасканяс and 9 average. Most likely, this results from the fact that last year these schools took high places in ratings by results of the Olympic Games and the centralised examinations. However, marvellously and in other city schools parents result kiddies actively enough. Though record results in the first classes are not brought yet definitively, it is possible to rejoice now already at thought, that we have enough first-graders in their this year it should appear not less than 950.
In general my personal relation to all city schools equal enough everywhere there are interesting programs, everywhere there are advantages. After all now there is such opinion, that ostensibly study at so-called exemplary schools is not always useful for absolute each child a pier, there it is more difficult to it to be allocated with good study, rather than at usual school, and it can kill at all in it interest to training. Such opinion is not represented to me true if, of course, not to take in calculation of children with special requirements, but there is perfect other situation. Actually each school has the licensed program, the essence of this program repeatedly is possible to the parent finding an educational institution for the fumes and before sending it for study, it, the parent, accurately represents that waits there for the child. Therefore it always can as the person, is better knowing the child, correctly to judge: Whether to send it in an educational institution where in большем quantity the Latvian language or English is studied, or there where больший the emphasis becomes on the exact sciences or, let us assume, on music.
Our schools too have not made the program up the traditions they developed for many years and decades, and consequently all well-known what exactly they can offer pupils. Why we will refuse to parents in the option?! An another matter, that serious reflexions should precede this choice: and what, really, it can appear the best for his son or the daughter?! But it is not necessary to create an agiotage round any separate educational institutions!
Nevertheless quality of formation a thing important which pawns bases of the person of the child for all his life. Even if the parent sees in the offspring inclinations, say, the future sportsman after all during our times the sportsman should know well English, German, Russian languages. They are absolutely necessary for it if he wants to take part in gathering, the international competitions, international commands. So not all so is simple, and the formation received by each growing up person, should be simple versatile! And, if it is fair, though all schools have features, cardinal distinction in programs offered by them is not available anyway, all necessary things everywhere are considered and provided. However, happens, that at some schools educational process is organised hardly better, than in others.
It is necessary sometimes to be able to compare. According to the colleague heading Management of formation in Riga, I well imagine the situation which has developed at schools of capital. In the absence of enough of teachers it is not possible to embody many licensed programs during a life, there is a set of problems on the further development of educational system. At us in Daugavpils formation at high level is given. In our achievements visitors from other cities and even the countries actively are interested. One of the main priorities of educational system of our state active work with the most talented pupils. But it does not mean, that all other pupils will be deprived by care and attention.

I have spent small questioning among the parents, wished to give children to our school. Me the question interested: and why the preference has been given us? The essence of answers of the majority was reduced to that our institution well-known thanks to high quality of formation which children receive in these walls. Really, not one child at us “is not lost”, between teachers and pupils there were fine mutual relations, and it affects results of study. At last, we were and we remain the most “English” school in Daugavpils. People notice all, and the kind glory goes on a city.
In due time we quite could be called as elite school as between applicants for study at us selection was made. Now such selection does not exist, and record is made as strict sequence: who was not in time, that was late. Advantage even those who in November took part in so-called adaptable employment they do not get urged to facilitate to the future pupils acquaintance to a school life. Last year at record even there was a crush in turn of parents. There is a question: why not to create an additional class, time is so much interested persons? At different schools of a quota differ, but in most cases it is two classes. Accordingly, Management of formation has given us “good” on reception only 60 children though interested persons was much more. 30 late candidates had to give up. Current year taking into account that we have 644 pupils, to us also have allowed to accept only 60 persons. The certain sense in it is available, as our school rather small, and essential integration we cannot allow ourselves. And so we have already tried to rationalise as much as possible use of school premises, and everything, that is possible, have taken away under the educational areas.
However in the morning on February, 1st at the moment of the beginning of record of this year at our doors daddies and mums of 80 children have crowded. Many have risen in turn at three o’clock in the morning as a rule, it were those parents which children did not accept participation in adaptation. Someone sat in cars, someone huddled hardly probable not on entrances and when I in the half-eighth as usually, has come for work, to my eyes have appeared the whole crowd. Instantly the lobby has appeared is full. I even have allowed to begin registration before the provided 9 mornings as many adults were late for work. I do not know as they preliminary have among themselves agreed, but a crush and распихивания by elbows at a registration table it was not observed record occurred организованно. The next days send 9 more future first-graders. From these 89 pupils and 66 of them already had time to participate in adaptable employment it is possible to generate three high-grade classes. We will address in Management that to us have permitted to exceed a quota and to create three classes. We already thoroughly have calculated all and precisely we know, that three classes all the same we can pull. I hope, that such permission will be received by us, though the firm confidence of it is not present. However, many parents expect such situation and aspire to write down offsprings in two schools simultaneously just in case. So, some admitted, that would like to give children to Russian lycée, but have decided to make secure: “do not take there we will arrive to you”. The matter is that in lycée only in April will know, whom have accepted, and whom have not accepted. Probably, if at all city schools of a condition of receipt were identical, it would be possible to avoid an unnecessary agiotage.
Parents of the future pupils are informed on results of record in writing. As they know our position, know also the serial number received by them at registration, refusals are worried without excesses anyway, anybody to us did not come and did not complain.
