Teachers have advanced to the attack on ministers

The Latvian teachers have transferred to the Ministry of Education and Science, the Diet and the Cabinet the requirements on situation improvement in an education system. Teachers demand change of statutory acts, social support of teachers and increase in salaries. Teachers also demand, that payment increase in 2008 has come into force not since September, 1st, and since January, 1st, cообщает radio MIX FM.

Teachers consider, that the government should develop also a policy of social support of educators, having provided pensions on a period of service, the help in the decision of housing questions, privileges on crediting, insurance of health, etc.

According to the schedule since September, 1st teachers will receive for the rate 284 лата before payment of taxes, that on 50 латов more than now.
