The Latvian authorities will provide families with children the state guarantees under credits for purchase of an apartment. But not now, but only in 2008. It is stipulated by strategy of social protection the nearest two years. |
The state family grant too will be increased on the average on 2 лата in a year. There will be also a new kind of the grant – on preparation of children for school. Its size yet is not informed. The gipsy is planned to enter also special programs for children with difficulties in training, with special needs and from families.
Минблаг it is measured to render the nearest years the strengthened support to having many children, needy families and pensioners. Old-age pensions and henceforth will be indexed twice a year, and it is supposed, that to 2008-му their average size will make 100 латов. The free minimum of pension is planned to raise up to 165 латов.
The ministries of well-being, public health services, formation and science took part in development of the document, on affairs of children and families, the finance and justice. The report is submitted on consideration at meeting of state secretaries. And whether here these initiatives which were born during the pre-election period will be accepted and on a background of the poor budget obviously give populism, will show time.
